FAQs

On this page, you will find a list of some of the questions you may have regarding the website and the parish of Tillington. Hopefully the answers address some of your questions, but if you wish to ask something else, please get in contact via our contact page.

What is this website for?

This website is a parish council initiative, of which the objective is simply to be a useful resource for local people and visitors to the area. Do visit the contact page and let us know your feedback, so we can make the website useful for you.

I have an idea for something I would like to see on this website.

That’s great – if you don’t think the website is fulfilling some important function, then it is probably something we haven’t thought of yet! We would love to hear about it on our contact page.

How can I make a suggestion to the Parish Council?

To make a suggestion to the parish council, please contact the clerk of the council, Jean Huggett, at clerktillingtonpc@gmail.com

Where can I find local contact details?

There is a list of contact details in the parish magazine, which you can view here

Where can I find local news?

There are several ways of getting local news. The parish magazine, which you can view here, is released monthly, and is full of news, stories and adverts for useful local businesses. We also have a news section on this website, which, like the parish magazine, is always looking for new articles. For more general news about the area, our local newspaper is the Midhurst and Petworth Observer.

Can I share a piece of local news?

Yes! If you would like to use our news page to share any interesting events, developments or even bits of history about the area, get in touch on our contact page. We can either write up your story for you, or if you would like to write an article, we would be happy to post it for you. The parish magazine is also always keen to share your news, and you can find their contact details here.

Where can I find a local online noticeboard/forum?

There are two online communities acting as a noticeboard/forum for local people. One is the facebook group, Tillington Village Noticeboard, and the other is the Tillington neighbourhood on Nextdoor. Local people use these sites to share local initiatives and businesses, opportunities, concerns and personal news.

How can I learn more about Tillington's history?

We have a history page on this website. We’re always looking to learn more about our area, so if you have an interesting piece of history you would like to share on the website, let us know via our contact page.
